These terms apply to your use of this website and to any order you place with us. By placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who we are

This website is operated by R.P ARLETT & C.I SYPHERS, ABN 29 917 242 352, trading as Aurelie Silks. You can contact us at aureliesilks@gmail.com.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Aurelie Silks. "You" means the person using the site or placing an order.

Using this site

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose, not to interfere with its operation, and not to attempt to gain access to any part of it you are not authorised to use.

Our products

We sell a boxed satin sleep set. The set contains satin pillowcases, a padded satin eye mask and a satin scrunchie. Our products and the arrangement of items within the box may vary slightly between sets.

Satin is a weave rather than a fibre. Our fabric is woven from polyester. Aurelie Silks is a brand name and is not a description of the fibre content. We do not describe our products as silk anywhere other than in the brand name itself.

We try to display our products accurately, but colours can look different on different screens and devices, and photographs are a guide rather than an exact match. Small variations in colour, stitching and finish are normal in textile manufacturing.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in Australian dollars.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted. If a product is listed at an incorrect price because of a technical error or a typographical mistake, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than supply at the wrong price. We will let you know if that happens.

Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We use third party payment providers and do not store your card details ourselves.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we send you a confirmation email.

We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch, including where the product is out of stock, where we cannot verify the payment or delivery details, or where we reasonably suspect the order is fraudulent. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.

Please check your delivery address carefully before you order. We are not able to redirect a parcel once it has been dispatched, and orders returned to us because of an incorrect address may incur a further postage charge.

Promotions and discount codes

Discount codes apply only to the products and periods stated, cannot be used with other offers unless we say so, and have no cash value. We may withdraw a promotion at any time, but doing so will not affect an order already placed under it.

Shipping and delivery

We hold stock in Brisbane and post orders the next business day. Delivery times after dispatch depend on the carrier and your location, so all timeframes are estimates rather than guarantees. Order by Friday 18 December for delivery before Christmas.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Returns

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. 

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

If your order arrives damaged, is different from what is described on this site, or has a manufacturing fault, email us at aureliesilks@gmail.com with your order number and photos of the problem. Where there is a major failure you can choose a refund or a replacement. For other faults we will repair, or replace, and we will cover reasonable return postage on any valid claim.

Care and use

Care instructions are supplied with the product and are also available on this site. Damage caused by washing or use outside those instructions is not a manufacturing fault.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including the Aurelie Silks name, logo, text, photography, layout and design, belongs to us or is used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. If you sign up to our emails you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message.

Reviews and submissions

If you send us photographs, reviews or other content, you give us permission to use it in connection with our business, including on this site and in marketing, without payment. You confirm that the content is yours to give and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may edit or decline to publish anything you send us.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, and other than our obligations under those laws, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from any product you buy from us, and our total liability is limited to resupplying the product or paying the cost of resupply, at our option.

We do not guarantee that this site will always be available or free of errors.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Queensland.
